House Rules

• No partying

• No smoking

• No physical abuse or misuse to property

• No non-registered overnight guests

• Do not unplug designated plugged-in items

• No removing/blocking outside cameras

• Dogs welcome, no other types of animals

No parties or events

This rule is nuanced because we want you to enjoy the entertaining features of the home. Parties and events generally entail some sort of decorating, costuming, and/or large groups of people. It is important to remember that this is a home, not a dancehall, nightclub, bar, or convention center. Below are a few descriptions that are acceptable and also inappropriate (not a complete list):

✅ Birthday parties w/o hanging items on walls

✅ Movie & Karaoke nights

✅ BBQs

✅ Sports viewing on TV

❌ Drug/Alcohol infused gatherings

❌ Pool or Costume parties

❌ Raves

❌ Sleepovers

❌ Anything that involves decorating on interior or exterior walls (posters, banners, lights, etc.)

No smoking inside home or on the artificial grass

To keep the house smelling fresh, we have a ban on smoking inside the home. Outside the home, there is a front and back patio area covered by concrete to smoke (close the entry doors while you smoke). Please do not flick ashes, discard butts, or smoke in the artificial grass areas.

Dogs Allowed Downstairs, All Other Pets Restricted

We are a dog-friendly home. However, this is limited to the downstairs area and backyard. A baby gate is placed at the bottom of the stairs; this is the line of demarcation for dogs to pass. Upstairs is carpeted and dogs have the predilection to poop/pee on comfortable surfaces, especially in unfamiliar surroundings.

All other pets are not welcome to join you on your vacation. Our family has severe allergic reactions to cats and we cannot have their fur or scent be in the house.
